The Geo Research Institute had started its activity as soil testing laboratory (now, Geotech Lab) in Amagasaki in 1958. The 50 years of the research activity based upon soil testing have expanded to include such fields as “Observational Method for Geo-Engineering,” ”Survey of Soft soil and Analysis,” “Geo-Informatics by Gathering boring data in Kansai Area,” “Geomorphology and Fault study” “Prediction of Strong Ground Motion,” ”Prevention of Geo-Disaster,” and “Environmental Conservation” based upon continuous activities of research and consulting in general field of geotechnical engineering to serve the society.

Geo Research Institute has been trying to integrate such regional information of geomorphology, geology, ground, and earthquake ground records to support the safety of the infra-system of the regional society. Please send and ask any problems and questions on ground to GRI, we are very happy to respond to provide answers to your inquiry.
